Z-Check 900-S is a highly accurate, non-contact, inspection and measurement system designed for measuring wet or dry solder paste deposits, adhesive (glue), component placement, and a wide range of related electronics assembly applications. The system can be used to inspect and analyse up to ten (10) separate production lines each with ten (10) different products. Data and SPC reports can be viewed in either Excel or Note pad. Z-Check 900-S has a motor driven X/Y stage, controlled by a ‘Teach & Learn’ program. This allows a PCB to be located on the machine, and with ‘Go’ ‘clicked’, all of the desired measurements will be taken automatically.

Z-Check 900-S can be set up to take a scan of a single pad if so desired and a number of measurements taken to create the average height of the pad. Alternatively multiple pads can be measured. Up to 50 pad positions can be programmed.
PCB alignment for programming is by the use of a 2 speed Joy-Stick assisted by a Laser pointer.

Z900 in operation
Saved data can be viewed at any time during the process on any or all production lines. Data can be presented as an X-bar chart, R-bar chart or as a histogram with full SPC reporting. The image on the screen can be saved and printed to photographic quality.

Geometric Functions
In addition to measurements of rectangles or square pads, Z-Check 900-S can also measure and record other parameters.
Angles
Angles can be measured by clicking the mouse on reference points. Z-Check 900-S will display the angle measurement.
Circles
Circles are measured by clicking the mouse on a minimum of three reference points. The computer will generate the best fit circle and display the diameter. A second circle can be added, and the diameter and distance between centres displayed.
Irregular shapes. Area
By clicking the mouse on reference points of any irregular shape, the area of the shape is automatically calculated and displayed.
The circle and area functions can be combined with the automatic Z function to calculate the volume.
